Jhander had a follow exam by Dra. Veroinca Vasquez on Thursday morning and the doctor told us he is doing very well! In layman terms, his blood flow rate is 2 1/2 times more than before his heart procedure 3 weeks ago at Mt Sinai Hospital in Cuenca.
While recovering at the CETAP-LUCY School with Rocio Illescas, Jhander was able to go to school with some of his new friends and come back from a full day of activity feeling very good! That's a first for Jhander.
Jhander and his mother left Cuenca yesterday for the 12 hour bus ride back to their small village in the Oriente.
For his family, the dramatic change in Jhander's health in the last 30 days is nothing short of a miracle.
