Thanks to the ophthalmology mission at Hospital Metropolitano Quito on April 30, 3 more children have been gifted with vision.
All of these children had bilateral strabismus which caused headaches, poor vision and inability to focus properly. They are all from very poor families in the north of Ecuador.
Emily at 15 was having great difficulties in school because of her poor eyesight. April at age 7 and Luciana and age 3 were fortunate enough to have their vision corrected at an early age!
The families are so pleased with the efforts of the eye surgeons who waive their surgical fees. HKIE is very fortunate to be working in collaboration with Hospital metropolitano and the Fundación Metrofraternidad
This collaboration provides many children with the precious gift of sight!
