This is 14 year old Jennifer. Her eyesight is so poor she needs to hold papers and such an inch from her eyes to see.
Exilaser contacted HKIE after Jennifer and the family were crying in the lobby.
Jennifer will need 4 surgeries to allow her to see normally and the family can in no way afford to pay for them.
But we have good news, thanks to our donors, Jennifer will have her first surgery to insert a corneal ring into one eye.
The ring will reshape the cornea.
After both eyes receive the rings she will need to wait 3 months, then both eyes will receive another surgery that will prevent any further progression of the eye disease.
Jennifer will soon have normal vision! She and her family are so very grateful!
