Pictured with Dra Mariela Siguencia and also with her new look is 8 year old Samantha. Samantha lost both her eyes to cancer at the age of 3. With her growth she needed new prosthetic eyes which Dra Mariela Elisa Siguencia provided at her cost to HKIE. She also waived all of her fees! Little Samantha is a brave young lady who attends school to earn braille
.

Vilma not only lost her eye to cancer but ...her entire orbit from brow to midway down her nose was destroyed from the chemo and radiation treatments. Dra Siguencia worked her magic and one would never be able to tell by looking at her now. Both of these young ladies can now go through life with a nice looking appearance!
