HKIE joined Fundacion Metrofraternidad our allies in Quito, for their ophthalmology surgical brigade.
Seven children had varied eye surgeries performed including surgeries for lazy eyes and glaucoma. The children ranged from two to six years old.
The surgeons at Hospital Metropolitano in Quito, like those at Hospital del Rio in Cuenca, donated their time and expertise to perform these important surgeries.
The surgeries ranged from lazy eyes to prepping a child's eye for a prosthetic.
