A few weeks ago HKIE our Foundation was able to visit with the heads of Fundación Metrofraternidad in Quito.
We have worked with them for about 7 years (since the heart surgery of Daniel), but had never met them in person.
We were given a full tour of the hospital including the surgical rooms; it is a very modern and updated facility.
While there, we were asked to help with their Ophthamology Brigade that took place this weekend.
Eye surgeries were performed on 8 children ( patient# 630 to 637) most of the surgeries were for congenital cataracts with a couple "lazy eyes".
Pictured are some of the children and also the hospital facilities.
Thank you to our donors, without whom we would not be able to provide these life changing surgeries to these children.
You can just imagine how thankful the kids and their families are knowing they will now go through life with normal vision!
