This is 6 year old Daniela from El Valle who was born with a deformed right forearm and hand. She is a student at the CETAP-LUCY School.
Shown with Drs Pablo Javier Salamea Molina and Gustavo Ochoa who are discussing options. Today she had a complete arm xray and will follow up with Dr, Ochoa next Monday.
Daniela has only one bone in her forearm and it is "soft". After reviewing the xray, Dr Ochoa may be able to put a plate or rod in to give the forearm strength. Then Dr. Pablo will be able to unweb a finger or two to enable her greater mobility in her arm and fingers. We are praying for the best possible outcome to give this precious child a more normal life.
