Pictured is Amanda with her new glasses. Amanda has been a work in progress with HKIE and Dr Pablo Javier Salamea Molina. She has had palate surgery, orthodontic surgery, braces and glasses. All of this has so improved her attitude at school and of course her self esteem.
Mikyl had a growth on his ear that was continuing to worsen. Dr Pablo is shown with him making his surgical markings. Mikyl was very nervous about the whole procedure, but the doctors and nurses at Hospital del Rio put him at ease.
AS ALWAYS, Dr Pablo waived his surgical fees and the hospital gave HKIE a substantial discount on the hospital costs making these surgeries very affordable for HKIE and our donors!
