This is Erick from the Otavalo area. He suffered from severe strabisimus...lazy eye...which caused headaches and prevented him from seeing anything correctly. His parents were told the only way to correct his problem was through surgery.
Thanks to HKIE's helpers in that area, Erick was brought to our attention. Cynthia Lopez and her husband Pachi drove Erick and his parents several times to Quito for his preliminary exams and for his surgery. The doctors are very ...pleased with the surgery results and feel he will have normal vision.
Erick's surgery was the first paid for from the funds raised at our fundraiser event held at Linda Blizzard's beautiful home in Otavalo on Oct 22nd A huge thank you goes out to Linda and Elizabeth Brown Anderson for organizing the event and to all the people who attended. It was a special night!
